At the early age of 3, my journey in tennis began with a simple gift from my parents—a tennis racket and a large rubber ball. Little did they know that this humble start would ignite my passion for the sport and shape my future. With that first backhand swing, the love for tennis began, and I couldn’t get enough of it. Although finding suitable classes for someone so young was a challenge, my parents took on the role of my personal coaches, nurturing my skills and fostering my enthusiasm right at home.
It wasn’t until the fall of 2022 when everything changed. I stepped foot into the amazing APEX tennis center in Arvada, CO, and that’s where my path collided with destiny. That’s where I met Coach Kim & Coach Luke.
Coach Kim is the director of The APEX Tennis Center in Arvada, CO. She is committed to creating opportunities for tennis players of all ages! She welcomes everyone onto the courts and gives the tools needed to succeed.
Coach Luke’s dedication, expertise, and unwavering belief in my potential have transformed my game and fueled my ambition. He became an advisor and a guide, helping me unravel the intricate details of the game and pushing me to reach new heights. He has helped me level-up my game with agility and movement.
But my journey didn’t stop there; I had the privilege of crossing paths with another extraordinary coach, Vasilisa. As a former world #47 ranking player, she brought a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to our sessions. Her unwavering support and contagious passion have been instrumental in shaping my tennis journey, always reminding me to stay positive and persevere.
Another amazing coach along my tennis journey, is Coach Jackson. Coach Jackson brings a unique blend of fun and entertainment to the tennis court, making each practice session an absolute joy. His infectious humor and witty remarks never fail to bring a smile to my face, creating a positive and enjoyable environment. With his coaching style, he effortlessly combines skill development with laughter, making tennis an incredibly fun experience.
The junior coaches in my tennis classes have been incredible pillars of support as well, not only for me but also for coaches Luke, Vasilisa and Jackson. Their unwavering commitment to our progress is evident in the way they assist and collaborate with our main coaches, ensuring a seamless and enriching learning experience. Together, they form a unified team that fuels my growth and fosters an environment of continuous improvement.
